YUMMY! Banana Bread Recipe

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas  Which actually equals 5!!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees  Lightly grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan. In large bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt. In separate bowl cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture just to moisten. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire rack. Enjoy! This one won`t last long!!
I was reminded of my own bread recipe when I ran across this one on a blog...can`t remember which one! The only change from mine was the brown sugar rather than the white. YUM!

  1. Oh, that looks super yummy, Judi!! I'll have to give it a try--I can never find a banana bread recipe when I need it. Whatever I use, my kids insist that I add chocolate chips!!!

  2. Oooh, just look at Chef Judi now! Girl you so got it going on huh! Well, where is my piece...still waiting for the mailman to deliver my hugs

I appreciate each and every comment and read them all!
