The Featured Stamper today is ButterflyEars! (Nichole) She has a lovely gallery but chose one of her florals with butterflies to case. I have always loved this sentiment and I thought it would fit her. I embossed the offset side and added rhinestones. The butterflies abd pillow embellies were from Mothermark (Cindy). Thanks again! Hard to see but the black strip is dot embossed and the corners I used a scallop corner punch. I hope she likes it!
I am behind on some of my mailings but they will get out some time this week. I believe the winner of the blog candy (Gloria) appears to be gone on vacation and I don`t believe she knows yet! Watch for more blog candy soon!
We got 10 " of snow! That is a big deal here! I took 3 pics. The first is Molly, the 2nd is Taffy, and the 3rd is a snowman the kids across the street made. Talk soon and have a great evening!!

Hi All! This is the card I did for today`s Inspiration challenge. Steph sent us to Espe ~ http://www.espe.ca/product/products_main.html an online store primarily carrying bags and accessories. There was a wallet with a cute monkey on it that inspired me to ink up this new Verve set called Monkey Love. The outside says my little love monkey and the inside says you`ve stolen my heart I used these cute little Love Notes from SU. They are the perfect size to sneak into my husband`s wallet or our gd`s lunchbox. I love to give surprise notes like this!
My 2nd project was inspired by a white bag with pink roses. I made up this bag and adhered my paper roses and just added a ribbon. Thought jelly beans would look cute in these little bags as a treat for Easter.
It had started snowing again...seems it can`t make up its mind! Will more than likely be awhile before the plows make it to this end of the county. Thank goodness we do not need to be on the road for anything! May be back later tonight! I love staying up to see who the Featured Stamper is...just may stay up and do them a card! Hugs!!
And the winner of the blog candy is Comment 10   !!!!!!!!

Gloria...if you would please pm at SCS with your full name and addy I will get this package out to you when I can get to the po! Still snowing here on and off!!

Thanks everyone for playing. Watch for more as I will be giving blog candy often.

Have a great day everyone! I am off to stamp!

Friday, January 29, 2010

Hi Peeps! Just a quick post tonight to wish you all good luck! The blog candy contest will officially be over at midnight and a number randomly drawn and announced on my blog sometime tomorrow more than likely before noon! If for some reason it is not posted then it is due to lack of internet service which I am praying does not happen as that would mean our power was out. We are in the throws of a major snowstorm which really does cripple our area as we just don`t have the equipment necessary to clear all the roadways in a timely fashion. I will try to take some pics tomorrow or maybe later depending on when it stops...I believe it is forecast to snow all day tomorrow too. YIKES! So I also hope you understand the package will not actually go out until next week when we can safely get to the po.
Danny overdid yesterday (big surprise...NOT!) so stayed out of work today. Nothing major just feeling very sore and tired. And yes...we will be very careful taking the dogs out! :-)
I am off to bed but did see Steph has already posted a wonderful site for the inspiration challenge. I will try to get something done for that tomorrow.
Thanks to those who commented on my tribute card to my mom. She was an amazing woman!
Night and hugs!!!

Thursday, January 28, 2010

Hi All! I did this tribute card for my mom since she died on today`s date 2 years ago. I thought I could write down some feelings inside and put it in our scrapbook. It is for today`s Way to Use It challenge to use textiles. My punched star is velvet. This is also for CCEE1004 Sketch Challenge which Cindy Haffner has hosted all month. Thanks Cindy! You always come up with amazing ones! This is an actual photo of my mom. Wasn`t she lovely? I used K & Company paper. The wonderful mother is from SU`s new set called Well Scripted and the you`re my hero is from Verve. Hope you like it!
Don`t forget the blog candy contest ends tomorrow at midnight ET. Hugs!

Hi all! This is the card I did manage to get done for today`s sketch challenge. My card is straightforward. The cardstock I used is textured so is much prettier in real life. I used my new SU Border Punch on the inside. I have a huge order that got here today while I was gone so can`t wait to organize everything and get those new stamp sets inked up! This is some of the new SU Satin Ribbon.
I am happy to report Danny`s arm is now in a pretty blue cast! He has to keep it on until 2/24 when they will xray it and see how its doing. He is returning to work tomorrow. I have threatened his life to not do manual labor right now! I think I will have the secretary peek to make sure he stays in his office! May be back later! Blog candy is several posts down. Check it out if you haven`t already! Time will be up soon! Thanks and hugs.
We are off to the doctors late this morning...I sure hope the swelling has gone down enough to cast it. So I will try to get a card posted for the sketch challenge after we get back. General life and errands are getting in my way today! LOL But you know how it goes....family ALWAYS comes first! Talk soon! Hope you have a great day. Hugs!

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

Hi Peeps! I did this card for 3 challenges today! The 1st one is today`s Color Challenge which was to use Pretty In Pink, Melon Mambo, and Blush Blossoms. The dessert option was to use red hearts which I did. The 2nd one is for Monday`s MOJO123 sketch. I received my package of new Verve stamps today so I had to ink them up! And the colors were perfect for Valentines so I made this for our gd Ariel who is a girly girl and I had to use roses because of our name. The 3rd one is for Teapot Tuesday challenge. It won`t make much sense until you read about it here. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...d.php?t=477754

Neil is in charge of lowering and raising the moat gate. So it would be a good thing to stay in his favor. So I am bringing him a Valentine and will use my wily ways to appease him. :-) I usually always do a matching envelope but the roses are so bulky I thought it would squish them so will just give it to her or mail it in a padded mailer. I want to thank those of you who have sent me messages here and at Splitcoast asking about my husbands broke arm. He is still hurting and does not go to the doctor until Wednesday and the swelling is still bad so they may wait even longer to put a cast on. I so appreciate you all and don`t know what I would do without your support. Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!
Don`t forget the blog candy several posts down!!

Did a 2nd card for today`s CAS challenge to use Designer Paper. I just love yellow cards...hope you are not getting tired of them. Been so dismal here I need some sunshine! But it is actually finally sunny here today. I love this SU DP. It is so soft and feminine. I used a Sizzix die for the flower, put gold pearls in the center, and popped it up. The butterfly is a MS punch. I used a deckle edge blade and carried the dp through to the inside of the card. Hope you like it!
Thank you to all who have sent messages and posted about my husband`s injury. The swelling is pretty bad this morning. We have called the doctor but have still not heard back.
Hope you have a terrific Monday where you are! I appreciate each and every one of you who visit my blog. Stampers are the best people in the world! Hugs!!

Hi! My husband is sleeping comfortably after I gave him his pain meds. I love staying up late so decided to do at least 1 card tonight although he is not a very demanding man even when sick so will probably do more tomorrow. :-) He is a keeper for sure! So todays CAS challenge was to use designer paper. I punched out the dp and adhered it to inchie squares so there would be dimension. Also used dp on the envelope. The base is a shimmer pink. Thought these made quick and cute Valentines! Let me know what you think! Talk to you tomorrow!! Hugs and sleep well!
And thank you those of you who sent us well wishes. I do feel fortunate it was no worse as it truly could have been.

Just got back from the hospital. My husband (Danny) did indeed break his arm. In rather an unusual spot. The doctor showed me the xray...I take an interest in these as my Aunt is a retired radiologist and when I was little I used to go on rounds with her on the weekend. Boy did I think I was hot snot! Guess that is why I took up nursing. He broke his elbow but underneath. They just splinted and put his arm in a sling and we will have to go to an orthopedic doctor in 3 days or so when the swelling has gone down enough to cast it. Poor guy! The emergency room said he was the 6th fall outside today. It has just rained so hard our yards are like mini rivers and are very slippery. Molly pulled and he had on tennis shoes and up in the air he went landing on his arm. Thank God he had no more breaks but I am certain he will be sore in the morning. I have given him his pain meds with orders to not do anything! And sadly it was his right arm.Life goes on. And how was your day???? Hugs all!
Will talk to you all later. My husband just took a bad fall taking the dogs out. Very wet and slippery. I think his arm is broken. :-(
Will update when I get home. Keep us in your thoughts please.

Hi All! Today`s featured stamper is Karen B Barber. I was tickled pink to find that out. She is such a sweet friend to all and her work is outstanding. I chose to do a Black Magic card in her honor as she loves this technique and we had spoken about it together before. This is the first time I tried it. I realize my card will not measure up to hers but I played anyway and I hope others of you have this attitude. We can`t all be Picasso! :-) I changed her card size and shape and made it more CAS. I will be sending this to her so I hope she likes it! I was again disappointed in the photo as the white cs is Textured Bazzill and I love the look of it. But it is sooo dark here today and artificial light just washes the texture away. So use your imagination!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend! We are watching football and I guess I need to get something to eat. Which reminds me. The other night when we had that wheat pasta. Our dogs were nowhere to be found. We repeatedly called Molly but she ignored us. Danny got up and tiptoed to the kitchen. And there she stood up on the counter eating what was left on his plate! She has white fur and had a tomato stain down the center of her face. I tried washing it off...it is still a bit pink. LOL Too funny! Talk again soon! Hugs!!

Saturday, January 23, 2010

Hi all! Well I think I may need to take a nap today. It is now 4:30 AM and I still have not gone to bed. May as well stay up and eat breakfast soon! LOL I did this card for todays inspiration challenge. Steph always finds the coolest sites to challenge us with. This is an online site called Echo. As soon as I saw these cute umbrellas I knew I needed to use Mo Manning`s digi stamp called Duck Days. The base of the card is yummy textured Bazzill cardstock but its hard to see in the photo. The dp is SU. I used a nestie and sponged while still in the die. Then colored with Copic Markers and popped it up. Added pearls and ribbon and voila! A done card. I really had fun doing this one. And it seems to me I have seen a similar sketch to mine somewhere but can`t remember. I think it may have been a challenge sometime back. I will be back later today with perhaps another card or maybe a recipe or dog story. I love when you visit! And those who have not seen...2 posts down there is blog candy! Be sure to enter! Hugs!

What a fun challenge Wendy had for us today for the Limited Supply Challenge. Today`s date is a palindrome so we were to do a card and only use things that could be halved and it would be a mirror image as that what a palindrome is! How cool is that? I used the word ewe for my sentiment. Love this cute image! Flowergal36 (Dawn) sent it to me. Thanks Dawn! I used a nestie, sponged color, and colored with copics and popped her up. Then added pearls for her fur. I have several birthdays coming up next month so needed to get a good start on that. This also qualifies for the MOJO Monday Sketch challenge which can be found here.
http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/
Will be back later with more chit chat. Don`t forget the blog candy!!! :-)

Spellbinders Bloom Nestabilities, MFT Birthday Stamp Set, Cuttlebug Herringbone Folder, Basic Grey Stitched Brads, Stampin Up Hardware, Stampin Up Corduroy Buttons, Gold Stickles, and Basic Grey RubOns. Hope you think its worth playing for! Talk again soon. Think I may do a card for todays challenge. Have a great TGIF!!

Thursday, January 21, 2010

Hi! I am so frustrated today. I must have taken 200 photos of my card. It is raining and dark. I ended up with a too bright photo so you could see some of the dimension. It truly is much prettier in real life. I did this for today`s Way To Use It challenge to cut it out. I cut out my primroses and popped them up on a nestie square that had been sponged. I added a bit of distress stickles and tiny gems for the center of the flowers. This is also for CCEE1003 Sketch Challenge hosted by Cindy Haffner this month. I really like this one!! Of course, I love her work so all her sketches have been great.
I am off to fix dinner...whole grain spaghetti. My sauce is full of good sausage, herbs, and tomatoes so hopefully we won`t notice the difference. I will let you know! Talk later!!

Wednesday, January 20, 2010

Hi all! This is the card I did for today`s sketch challenge at SCS. I flipped mine so I could use this darling new digital image from Mo Manning. Had to edit to include the name of the stamp. It is Sorry Shanna. And she is....the tulips she just picked were from her mom`s garden. How I admire her! She has so much talent. I get so excited when I check her blog and she has a new image up. I colored her with Copic Markers. Tried to get a good picture but it is so dreary here today I finally gave up and went with this one. The colors are more vibrant...but thats ok! You get the idea.
I just received a package in the mail from PTI. Yahoo! I have already seen some cards in the gallery using these latest stamps. So I may do another if I find the time. I have to actually do some housework and laundry once in a while!
Anyone having anything good for dinner? Think we are having Cajun rubbed steaks on the grill. There was a good recipe in the paper this morning for a smoothie I though I would share. Very good for you and tasty too!
8 ounces extra-soft silken tofu
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup pomegranate juice
1 medium banana cut into 1 " pieces
1 to 2 tablespoons honey
And you could add wheat germ
You just combine all in a blender
They also had a great idea for chicken. Roast your chicken with root veggies and you have an all in one meal. Yumm! Now I am getting hungry.
Would love to hear what you find good for a weekday meal.
Talk again soon! Hugs.
Blog candy up soon!

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

Good Morning everyone! Well, I managed to do a triple challenge card today! Decided to go with something fun rather than a floral. This qualifies for todays color challenge which is to use Bashful Blue, Soft Suede, and Ruby Red. Dessert option is stripes which my dp is. This is for the CCEE1002 Sketch Challenge which is hosted by Cindy Haffner this month. YAY! Love her work. You can find info here. http://cceestampers.blogspot.com/2010/01/sketch-challenge-14th-january.html
It is also a card for Teapot Tuesday Challenge. The craziness can be found here. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=476757
I chose this Kat stamp because she looks just like me! Believe that and I have a piece of property to sell you. :-)
We have quite a few birthday girls in our teaparty group so I am getting busy with some cards.
Hope you are having a nice day...it is so gorgeous here!! Carolina Blue skies and in the 60`s! Talk soon!

Monday, January 18, 2010

Hi all! What a fun project Holly had for us today for the Technique Challenge. We were to incorporate a Brick Wall into our design. You can find the instructions here ~ http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/brickwall/
This also qualifies for the CAS challenge today which was to use teal. I stamped my rose in Memento black ink. I then overstamped it a bit to the side with Versamark. I then used Black Detail EP. I used Blush Basic Grey DP. After I fixed my wall I used a file on the paper to give it a shabby look. I popped it up and added some pearls. I like the way it turned out. Hope you do!
Here are 2 more cards I did for the CAS challenge.

I used PTI`s Blooming Button Bits set but used paper flowers rather than buttons.

And finally I did this using this cool stamp Cook22 (Sabrina) sent me from Ireland! I could not wait to ink this one up.
I will be back later. Hope you are having a wonderful Monday!

Sunday, January 17, 2010

Hi Peeps! Well todays featured stamper is JDmommy aka Anne. You won`t find a nicer person. I decided to do a roses card for her so she would think of me when she received the card and of course red is her favorite color. I hope she likes it! It is a very dark day here so the pic does not pick up the water splats I put on the roses to look like dew.
And yay! Today is my birthday! I want to thank each and every one of who have sent me cards, emails, and pm`s to wish me well today. I appreciate you all! May post later tonight. :-)

Saturday, January 16, 2010

Hi! I did this card for todays Inspiration Challenge which was to go to Nell`s Hills online store. This is what I chose to be inspired by. ~ http://www.nellhills.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=66&products_id=254
I am so loving these calendar flowers from Flourishes. I used SU cardstock, one of their dp`s, and one of PTI`s. I left the bottom panel blank to add a sentiment when needed. It also qualifies for CCEE1001 which Cindy Haffner is hosting for January. So you know we will have wonderful sketches as her work is always amazing! This is the 1st time I have played along with this group. Looked like fun!

Look! I received another card from Cook22 ~ Sabrina all the way from Ireland! How she got it to me so quickly is beyond me! I love her cheerful card with the cute ladybug and polka dotted brads. And see....she sent me a stamp! I love it and can`t wait to ink it up!! Thanks Sabrina!
Be back later with another post. Have a wonderful day!

Friday, January 15, 2010

Hi All! I did this altered tin and tag for the Ways to Use It challenge ~ To use birds and for Limited Supply Challenge ~ To make a tiny treat and card. I wanted the tin to have a vintage feel as the bird is an old one my dad had carved a long time ago. Thought it would be fun to send to my sister as a surprise. The bird and tag do fit in the tin.
And I received 3 Birthday RAK`s in the mail today. Woot! Woot!

The 1st one is from Anne Ryan. This photo does not do it justice. In real life the main image looks just like glass! Gorgeous job. And she sent me paper flowers. Thanks Anne!

Look what a fun and cute card this is! I received this from ardodd (Anne). This sure put a smile on my face! Thanks Anne!

And Yes! This is from flowergal36 (Dawn). Is her coloring amazing or what? Love when she merges images together. These are digital images from Mo Manning. Love her designs and Dawn truly brings them to life. She also sent me 2 SU floral sets. Thanks Dawn!!!!
Guess that is all for this post. Can`t wait to see where the inspiration challenge will be taking us! Talk soon! Hugs

Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Hi! I did this card for today`s sketch challenge. I am so loving these great floral images from Flourishes. This is the amaryllis. I used PTI DP and Ribbon. Added a button and oh my goodness. It took me like forever to get the ribbon through those tiny holes. And yes, I cut the ribbon at a strong angle and even used tweezers to pull it through. That took me longer than anything else!
It is a gorgeous day here again today...getting a bit warmer each day. I love looking out and seeing Molly (our English Shepherd) running in our fenced back yard. These dogs were meant to run and work and she has such strong legs. It is a beautiful sight. Hope you are having a great day!

Feeling a bit sad tonight as January is a very difficult month for me. I lost my dad when I was just 21 and he died on January 10. Those many years ago my mom was left to fend for herself and she moved back to Massachusetts where I am originally from. My mom was an amazing woman. They put the wrong drops in her eyes when she was born and scarred her corneas. So she was legally blind her entire life. She was so independent though. She graduated college at the top of her class and became a legal secretary. When she moved back home she asked no one for help and lived by herself until her eyesight became so bad it was nearly impossible for her to live alone. We finally convinced her to move in with us. We enjoyed her company for 18 months and on January 14,2008 she became very sick and I had to call 911. She was admitted to the hospital and was finally diagnosed with leukemia. She was transferred to hospice care 5 days later. And on January 28 as I was stroking her head and holding her hand she stopped breathing. My birthday is January 17 and our sons birthday is on the 29th. I know my parents are in a better place and I try so hard to not feel sorry for myself. But I have a hole in my heart so deep I can physically feel it. Yes, I have my faith in God. I have a wonderful family...a supportive and loving husband,2 sons, a beautiful gd,2 sisters (although they live in MA), and my dear Aunt(my moms sister). I too have 2 dogs who are loyal as the days are long. And friends. But....no one can fill that void of not having a mom or dad. Not a day has gone by that I don`t feel that loss. So if you  are fortunate enough to still have yours please give them a hug and tell them how much they mean to you. And I do want all of you who have been so kind to me at Splitcoast...encouraging my work and reaching out to me just how much it has meant to me. So thank you. SCS has truly been a Godsend to me and has kept me occupied and kept me going on days I did not feel like getting out of bed. Blessings and love to you all. Judi

Hi! I did this card for todays Color Challenge which was to use Pretty In Pink, Chocolate Chip, and Rich Razzleberries. The dessert option was to use houndstooth. I used a CB Folder which ws close. This also qualifies for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge. Today is a fabulous sketch by Silke. Go here on how to play. http://flourishesnewsletter.blogspot.com/2010/01/flourisehes-timeless-tuesday.html
I used the Asters from Flourishes 3rd Calendar Set and colored with copic markers. Will be back later ! Thanks for visiting!

You know I need to stop staying up to see what the challenges are as I live on the east coast and this makes me going to bed too late! LOL This is my card for the teaparty. You will have to join the craziness to understand any of it. Go here~ http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=15882806&posted=1#post15882806
Please join us in our fun! I am off to bed. Talk tomorrow! Night all!!

Monday, January 11, 2010

Me again! This is the last card I will do today although I did have another one in mind it will keep for another day. I do like how these last 2 turned out but what I will do with them is the question. They were fun to make anyway! Used gold ep and papers on this one. Used a different sentiment and added a bow. Guess I could add them to my wall art. Thanks for stopping by! May post just to chat later.

Hi Peeps! Hope you are all having a fantastic Monday! This is a 2nd card I did for todays CAS challenge which was to Cut It Out. I embossed the dress with Judikins Red Ruby EP and it is very sparkly but I could not capture that in the photo. I cut it out and popped it up. Added pearls and I was done! I did a card last night for this same challenge but I am not liking it today so I have not included it here. I like this one much better. I have always loved this great stamp by Dawn Houser.
Blog candy will be coming up soon! Details coming. :-)

Sunday, January 10, 2010

Hi! Well here it is 3:37 and I am up blogging! LOL I did this card for the featured stamper who is WeeBeeStampin aka Wendy. She has a great gallery and I had a difficult time choosing a card but went with this one.
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1315973?&cat=500&ppuser=42321
I just recently found these Pure Innocence kids and think they are adorable! I personalized the card by writing Wendy on the mail and put a W on the mailbox. I hope she likes it as I am sending it to her.
Sad state of affairs while it is this late I don`t even feel sleepy. Tired but not sleepy. I have a bad habit of drinking diet soda all night and it has caffeine in it. That can`t help. Well guess I better go get a bit of sleep before its time to get up! Night!

Saturday, January 9, 2010

Hi Peeps! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. This is my 2nd card for todays inspiration challenge for an etsy store called Groovy Inclinations. As soon as I saw this piece I knew I had the perfect stamp.
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=16401951
This image I used is by Vickie Enkoff who is missed dearly in the stamping community. She was taken away from us much too soon. So I got to thinking about this stamp and how it shows to me the coming and going of seasons and life cycles as the house is just a shell to how it once stood proudly. So I thought Enjoy the moment was the perfect sentiment.
Think I am going to leave some comments in this great gallery and get snuggled up with dh and the dogs and take a nap! See you soon!

Hi! Well I did stay up and do the Inspiration Challenge. We went to  a cool Etsy site called Groovy Inclinations. This is what I chose ~
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=26799017  I painted with an Aquabrush and used Peerless Watercolors. I then distressed the edges and popped it up. Added the seabirds inside and on the envelope. I love to do abstract paintings like this and I actually like how this one turned out. Hope everyone has a weekend filled with love and laughter! Hugs!!

Friday, January 8, 2010

Hello! Finally got my behind in gear and did a card that qualified for yesterdays Way To Use It challenge which was to use something new (my stamp sets I used and the paper rose were new) and todays Limited Supplies challenge which was to do a love you card in red, black, pink,or white and include dots. I did this 3" by 3" card for my husband as a just because card. The outside says Life and the inside says Is much better with you in it Quick and easy but I love this size card to slip in a lunch bag or suitcase. And I included the paper rose because our last name is Rose.
So what are you up to for the weekend? I will probably see where the inspiration challenge will be taking us for tomorrow...may do a card tonight. Will have to see how awake I am. No big plans for us on this coooold weekend. BRRRRR!!!!! But I love it. Stay warm and give someone you love a hug....just because. ;-)

Thursday, January 7, 2010

I will announce when a new contest will start. Thanks to all who played along and left such nice comments. :-)

Wednesday, January 6, 2010

Good luck on the drawing all! Check back in the morning some time for a winner. Night!!

Hi All! Here is a card I did today for the sketch challenge and I combined it with yesterdays color challenge. This is a Mo Manning digital stamp. I just love her work! And these are so much fun to sit and color. Today I used Copics but other days I use Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. Depends on my mood  I guess! Leave a quick comment even if it is just a hello as the blog candy contest will run until midnight. I will reveal the winner on my blog tomorrow. Good Luck! May be back later tonight for a chance at another post! Have a good dinner everyone!
Good Morning! You know computers can be so much fun. But NOT when they are having issues! And mine has. Hopefully it was just a fluke. On my sons next visit he will be transferring my files and programs to a different computer. YAY! So if I appear to have fallen of the face of the planet you know really where I am!
Blog candy runs through today and posts will be counted and slected at random at midnight and announced on the blog tomorrow.
Have you seen the sketch challenge at SCS today? I obviously missed it last night due to the stubborness of my computer. It has a lot going on but like I said before its good to be challenged. So guess I will be doing that later this morning. Hope you have a wonderful and creative day!! I will be back later.

This card was for Teapot Tuesday. Read all about it here. ~ http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=474521
Please join us if you haven`t already! We do have so much fun and Mothermark (Cindy) is back as hostess! I did this card for her to welcome her back. Off to have a nice dinner at Outback. Andy and Kristine gave us a gift card for there as one of their Christmas gifts to us. One of our favorite places to eat. I will be back tonight with another post. And come on girls! Tomorrow is the close of the chance to win my blog candy so post away while you still can! Hugs!

Hi Peeps! Quick post for now. Did this card for today`s color challenge. The colors were Handsome Hunter, Certainly Celery, and Bermuda Bay. And what a challenge it was for me! Good to challenge oneself though. Especially the dessert option of using pink with these colors. It was a quick card and I like it ok. I do love Unity`s stamps. Be right back with another card.

Monday, January 4, 2010

This is my final Valentine for today. I have 2 other cards in my gallery with this design and different dp. I think this is an effective card with very little work. Use whatever the paper of the holiday may be and just punch your squares.
My house is smelling very good right now....I have a pot of Northern Beans on with chunks of ham left over. Fixing a pan of yeast rolls and we will be eating good tonight! Then we need to watch what we eat. Sigh. Dieting is NOT easy. Gone are the days when I could eat whatever and whenever and never gain an ounce. I am also on meds that have added weight. UGH! Can`t win for losing! Digging out my walking shoes to walk on the treadmill every day. Hope you have a good dinner planned as well!

I also had this one in my head before I knew what the challenge would be. When I was little I always signed all my letters with hugs and kisses! Think the smooch adds a bit too!

I just could not stop myself from making Valentines today! I did four! This one is from the fabulous PTI set called Tiny Treats. I stamped the frog on an inchie and then colored him with Spica Copics. Popped him up in the window and added punched hearts and a sentiment. Easy! And I think he is quite handsome. :-)

Evening all! Don`t you just love when you have a card in your head and you check the challenges and lo and behold the card fits! Well that does not happen real often with me but tonight it did. I was so hoping the CAS challenge would be Valentines and it was! Thought this would be a cute card for anyone really and it goes together so quickly. Hope I sleep tonight although I am not sleepy yet. May think up another one to do! See you tomorrow! Hugs!! :-)

Hi all! Here I sit with it almost 3 AM here! Yikes! How my sleeping schedule got so thrown off I don`t know. I have always been one to get by without much sleep but I have a feeling these past few nights will catch up with me.
Ok so this is the 2nd card I did for todays inspiration challenge. I am very pleased with how this one turned out. It was difficult to capture the tue colors however as the darker color is actually Soft Suede. This was a super fast card to put together. Did an unusual tie with the ribbon and stick pin...just wanted something a bit different.
So since I was up I just had to see who the Featured Stamper was and it is Ardodd! (Ann) I could not be more thrilled. She has several cards I would love to case but chose her red geraniums card because the red and white were so striking together.
This is hers ~ http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1475661?&cat=500&ppuser=198978

And here is mine. I am sending this to her so I hope she likes it.
It is very cold here which does not usually happen all winter here but I am loving it.  It invigorates me! LOL Every one else is wishing for flowers. I settle for cards done with them this time of year. Guess I am off to get some sleep. May have to case another card of Ann`s tomorrow. Night! Night! Thanks to all who are posting. I read and appreciate each and every comment. :-)

Well guess I should say good morning as I have not been to bed yet. So it may take me awhile to leave comments tomorrow as I think I am going to bed now. This is a double challenge card. It qualifies for yesterdays Limited Supply challenge to do a card in 15 minutes, use something new, (I used a new cb border folder inside the card and out), and this could be used for a birthday card. I also drew my inspiration from Design Spirit Studio ~ A great Etsy shop Stephanie sent us to for todays Inspiration challenge. This is the piece I chose.

It reminded me of a Laurel Burch stamp I have. I actually colored it but did not like it as well as I did black and white so went with the one I liked better as she had done several pieces in black and white so I combined pieces to be inspired from. I used a new to me CB folder for the border and added silver pearls in the dots. The notecard is from Amuse and is called Fairy Dust as there is a pink shimmer to the paper. Matted the image and popped it up. Easy peasy. Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day! And yes it is 3:44 now.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Anyone make any resolutions this year?
Night,night. Hugs!!!!!!!
