Just got back from the hospital. My husband (Danny) did indeed break his arm. In rather an unusual spot. The doctor showed me the xray...I take an interest in these as my Aunt is a retired radiologist and when I was little I used to go on rounds with her on the weekend. Boy did I think I was hot snot! Guess that is why I took up nursing. He broke his elbow but underneath. They just splinted and put his arm in a sling and we will have to go to an orthopedic doctor in 3 days or so when the swelling has gone down enough to cast it. Poor guy! The emergency room said he was the 6th fall outside today. It has just rained so hard our yards are like mini rivers and are very slippery. Molly pulled and he had on tennis shoes and up in the air he went landing on his arm. Thank God he had no more breaks but I am certain he will be sore in the morning. I have given him his pain meds with orders to not do anything! And sadly it was his right arm.Life goes on. And how was your day???? Hugs all!

  1. Judi, so sorry to hear that! I broke my right wrist once and even simple things like brushing your teeth were hard to do with the other hand. I'm sure you'll take great care of him.

  4. So sorry about your husband. With the ice and snow here, the hospitals were seeing way more breaks than usual, and serious fractures too. Shame that it's his right arm, too. Dogs, eh! That was how my mum broke her wrist once, without even the excuse of ice. But you wouldn't be without them.
    Hugs
