Hi! Today`s Inspiration Challenge was to go to Thymes.com, a fabulous fragrance company. Thanks Steph! I was immediately drawn to the lavender.
My Inspiration
I got out my European Watercolor Paper and Peerless Watercolors and AquaBrush. I painted this little scene and matted it with paper from Kioshi from Basic Grey. I then popped it up and placed on Bazzill textured paper. I really had to sit on my hands to not add a thing. I truly wanted the focus to be on my painting. I almost did not upload this as I am not an artist but I do love to dabble in watercolors. Thanks for looking and if you have time please let me know what you think! Have a beautiful day!

Hi- I commented on your card at SCS but just wanted to say I think you are very talented and a great artist. Love your watercoloring and have never seen an "ugly" card submitted. tfs your talent!
ReplyDeleteOw wow, Judi, this is amazing!!! I love it.
ReplyDeleteI love lavender and liked the idea of doing a lavender card, but short of using a photo I couldn't have pulled it off. And nothing I could have done would be as beautiful as this. There's such a soft feel about it, even though there is a wintry snowy look. TFS, and thanks for sitting on your hands and not adding anything.
Judi your watercoloring skills are awesome. I was thinking at first glance it was a piece of printed paper you had, but when I read that you painted this my jaw dropped. How lovely. This is truly frameable.
ReplyDeleteWow, I am so impressed, this is lovely! I'd buy this if I saw it for sale, it has a lovely dreamy quality to it! You are very talented!
ReplyDeleteI think you are wrong - you are an artist! This is beautiful! It's so soft and pretty, very calming. Maybe you should experiment on some canvas and create some wall art.
