Hi again! Had to share this cutie patootie picture of our gd Ariel after opening her American Girl doll Julie. She really was surprised! This is the doll from 1973 and looks a bit hippyish. LOL And actually that is a year my dh and I really did look like hippies. Ahhh...the memories.

Ok on to another subject. Reading. Anyone have any good books to pass on? I readily admit to being a Twilight fan but have long since read all the books. I am moving on to the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris which are much more adult orientated. If you ever watched True Blood on HBO you will be familiar with these characters. I absolutely love to read and have an addiction to buying books from Amazon.com and Barnes and Nobles. So let me know what you are reading! Well...I guess I should be heading to bed soon. It will be time to get up before too long! And look out for the posting of the blog candy tomorrow. Sleep well all!

  1. I love reading, and finally got round to remembering to bring ID and a bill so I could join the library - much cheaper! Currently reading - just finished two David Baldacci books, and now reading Mrs Gaskell's North and South, along with Colin Tudge's Secret Life of Birds. StampingQueenJAR recommended The Guersney Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, and I just loved it, DH loved it, MIL loved it, best friend enjoyed it, DH's colleague in work loved it and got two copies to give as Christmas gifts.
Lovely photo of your gd :D
Happy New Year to you and your family.

  2. We have done many a year with American Girl dolls! Julie is one that is in our collection. Sadly this year at 11 and 13 there were no dolls on the wish list!

This year in addition to a pile of stamping stuff, my son gave me Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides saying it was the best book he had ever read. We'll see!

  3. I love reading too! My girlfriend told me about a site called paperbackswap.com that is supposed to be a great way to recycle your already read books and get some books sent to you for free. I'm reading Have A Little Faith by Mitch Albom right now and I'm really enjoying it. Michael is reading a book called Wesley the Owl and he's enjoying it too! Since you're a dog fan, you might love the book Merle's Door...but be warned, you'll shed some tears :) I'll try to think up some more! Happy reading!
