Another Triple Challenge Card!! 8/29 Mark`s Finest Papers

Hi! This is a triple challenge card. I did one more card for today`s CAS challenge ~ To be inspired by delicious. So I used this great apple stamp from Mark`s Finest Papers and made it into a Golden Delicious apple! This also qualifies for Trish`s fun VSN Challenge AUG10VSNM Challenge ~ A List. We were to use at least one texture (crumpling, ripping, crimping, embossing, textured paper, etc)
- use only one embellishment
- don't forget the color yellow!
- use a stamp that you don't often use ( I can`t say I don`t use it often but have not used it in awhile!)I clear embossed my cut out apples and put one on the cardboard (which is my texture), one inside, and one on the envelope. I used yellow and my one embellishment is my gingham ribbon also from Mark`s Finest Papers.Thank`s Trish! This is also for Joan`s fabulous Technique Challenge today ~ To use cardboard! Triple Challenge Card!! 8/29

I based my card loosely on this one. Carol`s Card
She used a bg nesties label for her lonely button...I used cardboard to give my roses a rustic look. And I used three rather than one. I hope I have captured some of Carol in this card. The second challenge is today`s Technique Challenge brought to us by Joan! This was a fabulous idea!! I will definitely be using cardboard again!! You can use it in so many ways!! VSN Salted Background Technique AUG10VSNL 8/28

Hi! This is the card I made for Joanne`s VSN challenge ~ Down by the Sea. We were to use the salted background technique. This was my first time trying this. Fun Joanne! Thank you! I used a butterfly and sentiment ~ you make me laugh. Both are from Innovative Stamp Creations
I used what I trimmed off my panel to decorate the inside and envelope and it was the perfect lengths! That doesn`t happen too often! LOL Thanks for looking and have a great evening!

VSN Soaring Challenge AUG10VSNK 8/28

Hi! This is the card I made for Patty`s fun challenge ~ Soaring. We were to show how we soared for vacation. Well I would have to be back at the beach and they have such fun kites! I decided to use this Ray stamp as one. It is from Earth Art International. I colored it with copic markers,clear embossed, and cut out. Used BG DP on the inside and front. I used a MS corner punch inside. Added the twine for the string and added a sentiment from Lizzie Anne Designs. Thanks for looking and have a fabulous evening!

Hi! This is a sample card I did for Faith`s VSN challenge ~ Summers in the Country. We live in a rural neighborhood and have farmland all around us. VSN ~ Cool Clear Water Challenge AUG10VSNF 8/28

Hi! This is a sample card I did for Karen`s VSN challenge ~ Cool, clear water. We were to use water somehow in the making of our card. Fun challenge Karen! This is my favorite thing to do! I did a watercolor painting of the flowers. Added the happiness sentiment from SU and added the hummingbird charm. I used BG DP on the inside as well as the outside and used a MS Corner punch. Inspiration Challenge 8/28

Hi! This is for today`s Inspiration Challenge brought to us by Stephanie. We were to be inspired by a vintage clothing store called ModCloth. Read about it here. IC247 Challenge

What fabulous items this shop has! I finally decided on this dress.

I used a Penny Black image and watercolored it. Added some vintage lace, pearls, and tiny gems to the centers of the flowers. And yes,,,these are the gems Peggy gave me and she has priced them at 50,000. :-) I hope you like it and thanks for looking! Your comments make my day! VSN Summer Vacations 8/27

Hi! This is the card I did for Roxie`s VSN challenge ~ Summer Vacations. My precious Godmother had the most charming cottage in Falmouth and I spent nearly every summer there. So this watercolored painting is dedicated to her. She is no longer with us but her spirit remains alive. Love you Yvonne! This path to the water and the gorgeous skies remain forever in my memories. Wax Paper Cuttlebug Resist Challenge 8/27

Hi! This is the card I did for Dawn`s fun challenge to resist the heat. What a great technique this was! But Dawn...I did not go so far as to iron any clothes. LOL I used Tim Holtz EB Folder and then stamped this Hero Arts Haiku Bunny. I added Mizhuiki Cord and a butterfly charm I also added an Asian coin and I stamped a butterfly on the inside. Hi! This is the card I did for Peggysue`s fun VSN challenge ~ to make a window card. And I so agree with Peggysue...I love when the weather permits the windows to be open. YAY! It`s Virtual Stamp Weekend!! Here is my first card!

So guess! I was the kick off hostess for tonights Virtual Stamp Night! I really had so much fun! Was a bit nervous as this was my first time but things went very well and we are having a good turn out! I am so glad so many new people have joined in the fun.
Ok...on to my card.So what may you ask is a honey of a summer have to do with foods? Well I spent many a weekend at my grandparents house. I was always fascinated with my grandfather and his beehives! The bees never stung him and he could be covered with them! Not only did we have fresh honey and comb but the bees were used to pollinate crops ( a practice you can see here in the fields of NC ) which we enjoyed all summer! Everything from all the berries to crunchy and juicy veggies. Some of the best days of my life!My challenge was Summertime Foods. Thanks for peeking!

Innovative Stamp Creations! 8/26

Thursday 8/26
Last day of the New Stamp Line release from Innovative Stamp Creations . The Creative Architect`s are showcasing 1 card from Sketch of Roses and 1 card from Nature Silhouettes III.

I combined the rose stamp with a rose eb folder panel and Tim Holtz Musical Score tape on the top. Added script from the Mini Ledger set, my sentiment punched out with added pearls, and then inked portions of the card with Distress Inks. I then spattered ink to give even a shabbier look. Added the funky metal charm and added Basic Grey DP to the inside.

This card was fun! I stamped the hollyhocks in Distress Ink, matted, and distressed adding Distress Stickles to the flowers after running the image through a Tim Holtz EB Folder. Stamped the large ledger on the tag and added the script stamp.Wrapped the tag with twine and added a leaf charm. The bg DP is from K & Co. Added 2 quilled dragonflies.
This stamp release is so versatile! Cannot think of an occasion these sets would not work for.

This line from Innovative Stamp Creations  is ideal for Artist Trading Cards, when you need a quick Mini-Card! Even accents the pages on a small Mini Book too! The tab image is super easy to use as you’ll see in the sample below you can use almost any of the phrases on the inside of the tab to accent your card, etc!

My favorite color on this day was pink and green although I must admit to changing colors with my mood. I found these colors to be fresh and happy. I hope you do too!

Innovative Stamp Creations Release Day 2!! 8/24 Background Series: Ledger/ Nature Silhouette III

Background Series: Ledger/Nature Silhouette III
Lately, have you noticed all the lovely Ledger design paper at your local stamp store? Well, now you can create a ton of lovely backgrounds on your cards and even in a mini book with this lovely Ledger image!
The Creative Architects from Innovative Stamp Creations were challenged to incorporate some of the images from both of these lines on our card. Moreover, Nature Silhouette III bodes well with Nature Silhouette I/II.
A little tip from Betsy: Use caution, but you can cut apart each of the images on the Hollyhock Shadow stamp and place them on your acrylic mount and arrange to your liking, then stamp away!

I enbossed the hollyhocks silhouette stamp in black detailed EP. Then sponged on my colors using Distress Inks. Put my sentiment on a Tim Holtz ticket and stapled it on. Added gingham ribbon and button. The butterfly has been stamped, cut out, colored with Copics and embossed in Clear EP. The large ledger stamp is used on the inside of my card. Innovative Stamp Creations New Release!! 8/23 Sketch of Roses III

Monday 8/23

Today the Creative Architects are showcasing Sketch of Roses III


Aren’t Roses utterly breathtaking? This stamp line from Innovative Stamp Creations has a lovely background image approx. size 4 ½ x 5 which lends itself to so many different techniques. You’ll find this line quite versatile! The delicate Roses are so easy to color-in with your fave medium of choice!

I stamped the background stamp on Basic Grey DP and then ran it through using a verse EB Folder. I distressed and tore the paper and inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I stamped the beautiful rose and cut out and used die cut leaves. I added the ribbon and made a shabby tag adding the word Dream also from ISC. Then attached with a Tim Holtz safety pin. Added DP to the inside of the card. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

I chose the onesies as my inspiration.

My base and onesie is actually a shimmery pink but its not showing up real well in the photo. Ran a layer through a Swiss Dots EB Folder. Stamped my image, cut out, and popped it up. All stamps from Papertrey Ink. I stamped an elephant on the inside of the card and the embossed envelope. Thanks for looking and have a great day! I love this new Impression Obsession stamp I scooped up on ebay! Just got it today so had to get it inky. I colored with Copic Markers and sponged with Distress Inks. Then I cut it out with a Deckled Rectangle Nestie. I versamarked my entire piece and used clear eb powder and popped it up. My dp is from Basic Grey. Thanks for looking and have a fabulous evening!

My card to day is pretty CAS. I thought the owl would look against blue like the sky so went with that. Stamped the owl image and used a deckled nestie to cut it out. Colored it with copic Markers and popped it up. My DP layer is from Basic Grey. Added the sentiment,owl charm, and flourish stamp on the inside and on the envelope. Thursday, August 12-Regal and Proud
My first card is pretty straightforward ~ I used Kraft and Black CS and Basic Grey DP for my sentiment. EK Success Border Punch, Circle Nestie, Distress Inks for Sponging, Copic Markers for coloring, Twine, and Flag Charm. Papers, Ink, Copics,Stamps, and Charm all from Mark`s Finest Papers .
On my second card I used watercolor paper and painted a background. Then stamped my image on top. Matted and distressed. DP is from Basic Grey inside and out. I used a MS Corner Punch on all corners. Stamps and papers from Mark`s Finest Papers .
This is a fabulous set of stamps for military families or those who make cards for our troops. Also a great set to make guy cards which can sometimes be more difficult. These stamps make them easy!

Wednesday, August 11- Flourished Sea Creatures
My first card today is Sea you soon! I made this card for my sister as every year we take our vacation together and we stay at a beach house called the Turtle Watch! So now how perfect is this set? I used a MS corner Punch inside and out on my Aqua layer. Then I used the top note die using Basic Grey DP. I ran it through the Bubbles EB Folder and sanded the paper. Then I sprayed it with Tattered Angels Misty Breeze Glimmer Mist. I wish you could see the shimmer and shine in real life! I stamped the turtle, coral, and sea grass on white cs then colored with Copic Markers and cut out. Then I ran Versamark over my pieces and clear embossed and popped them up. Added the Sheer Ribbon and added real shells and stamped my sentiment. Added a few Water Splash Stickers and stamped the envelope with the turtle. :-) Stamps, Ribbon, Paper,Copic Markers all found at Mark`s Finest Papers .
My second card is CAS but I think the red Basic Grey DP torn and put on the Kraft base CS packs a punch! I stamped my crab and colored with Copics. The inside is lined with Basic Grey DP. Added the Black Twine and Sun charm. Sat on my hands and did not add another thing so that I could use this as a guy card if I chose! Stamps,Paper, and Copics found at Mark`s Finest Papers .
I love this set and my cards and hope you do too!

Tuesday, August 10-Tweet Blessings


My first card is Where there is love, there is a home A simple CAS card done on White CS. The birdhouse is stamped and colored with pencils and gamsol. Added a bit of Black Diamond Stickles to the opening. Inside is lined with Basic Grey DP and each corner is punched with a MS corner Punch. Added a ribbon, the sentiment (highlighting the words Love and Home), and the darling house charm. Stamps and charm from
Mark`s Finest Papers . 
My second card is Speedy`s Peace Christmas. Isn`t he the cutest? I used red cs as my base. The white cs layer has the corners punched using a MS corner punch. Speedy is stamped and the flower colored with Copic Markers. The inside has a lovely sentiment which reads You have many Blessings When you look into your heart and find love and peace F.Kessler


I added the Gingham Ribbon to card front and envelope with a bit of Bling in the bow center. Stamps,paper, and ribbon from Mark`s Finest Papers . And did you know? They now carry Copic Markers!!!!

Mark`s Finest Papers Sneak Peek Challenge Card! 8/9

Hi! I could not resist doing today`s Technique and CAS challenge today as this idea immediately came to mind. The CAS challenge is Gardens and the Technique challenge is to use a rebus. I have done both using this cute eb folder with birds and vines found in a garden and my rebus is You`re so tweet with the bird filling in for sweet! Read about the CAS challenge here.

The adorable stamp is a sneak peek at a fabulous set from Mark`s Finest Papers  called Tweet Blessings which will be released tomorrow!
I stamped my fun sentiment on a heart which was die cut and popped up, and I added a red heart to the inside and envelope. The envelope is also embossed with a folder that says with love which is hard to capture in the photo. Great card for Valentine`s Day or just to let someone know you love them!

Congrats Vicki!! Her gallery is not only filled with eye candy but she is such a sweet person as well! This is the card I chose to be inspired by as Vicki sent this beauty to me!

And I know how much she loves anything beach related so Vicki I painted this beach scene for you. I hope you like it because it is yours! I sanded and distressed my Core`dinations CS and watercolored my scene and popped it up. Added rope twine, a starfish charm, and a mermaid cameo. The inside is Basic Grey DP and I used a MS corner punch on all 4 corners. Thanks for looking and have a great day! Another sleepless night here..I guess it will catch up with me eventually!!

I used white on white and stamped the vase of poppies, colored with Copics, cut out with a label nestie and popped it up after running it through the same weave eb folder as my first layer. I added Diamond Glaze for a bit of shine on my vase and added a bit of glitter to the flower centers and added the bow. I used Basic Grey DP inside the card and embossed my envelope. My stick is the stick pin and the apple stem! I stamped the apple with black ink on yellow cs and then clear embossed it and cut it out and popped it up. The sentiment is on Jenni Bowlin paper. Stamps are available from  Mark`s Finest Papers  ~ Set is called Apples & Camellia
The second challenge is Flutter by Wednesday #116. We were to create a new creation using a butterfly, fairy or angel AND your favorite color!! Mine is yellow...for the summer anyway and there is a butterfly on my apple and the Melody Ross brad. Join in the fun here.

I substituted my colors. The dessert option was to use something new. The Romak Layering Flowers are new and so are the decorative corners. This is also for Teapot Tuesday. WOW! Is her gallery chock full of eye candy or what!! I love her work and she is such a sweetheart on top of it!! Congrats Francie and wear that crown proudly! She has so many rose cards in her gallery so I was inspired by that and did a very simple CAS card because I can`t come close to trying to mimic her talent! I do love this rose and sentiment from Mark`s Finest Papers ~ The set is called Roses for You.
This also qualifies for VSN Mini Challenge .I had to pick a Rose because of my name. It also qualifies for this week`s Speedy the Cat`s Friends Blog Challenge #14
